Memorial Day Weekend on Fifth Avenue South

Posted on Thursday, May 26, 2016

As you make your plans for the holiday weekend, consider spending some time exploring Fifth Avenue South. Sure, we’re biased, but Fifth Avenue South is one of the nation’s most exclusive addresses, home to upscale fashion, gifts, artwork, cuisine and entertainment – and the Inn on Fifth and Club Level Suites puts you right in the middle of it all!

While strolling the Avenue this weekend, you’ll no doubt find a sale or two at some of the most unique, locally-owned clothing boutiques in Southwest Florida – from fine and whimsical children’s clothiers to elegant and casual men’s and women’s clothing, shoes and accessories. And if you’re shopping for gifts (cough Father’s Day cough), there are more than 20 gift and jewelry boutiques with fine and handcrafted jewelry, fine writing instruments and stationery, funky pottery, elegant antiques and much more. Not to mention a collection of distinctive decorative and home furnishings boutiques and several world class galleries offering originals and limited editions by renowned national, international, and local artists.

Hungry? There are dozens of great restaurants along the Avenue, where you can enjoy authentic Italian, French, Persian, Asian, Caribbean, American cuisine and more. Our personal favorite is the fabulous Avenue5, where Chef David and his culinary crew never disappoint. (Don’t miss the three-course Sunday Prime Rib special.)

On any given day or night, you can also take in a live theater production at The Naples Players Sugden Community Theatre or The Gulfshore Playhouse, enjoy live music and dancing or meet friends for one of the many special events along the Avenue or in the park – including musical performances, festivals, art fairs and car shows.

And whatever brings you to Fifth Avenue, be sure to visit the beautiful Gulf Coast beach just steps away from all the action to take in a mesmerizing sunset – the perfect end to any day in downtown Naples.
