We’ve always had rigorous standards for cleaning and safety. With our Five-Star Commitment to Cleanliness, we’re enhancing and elevating those standards, and doing so in accordance with guidance issued by public health authorities, including the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).
All our cleaning products used throughout the hotel are EPA-approved disinfectants that meet CDC requirements and are effective against viruses, bacteria and other airborne pathogens. All of our staff have received COVID-19 safety and hotel cleaning protocol training based on CDC standards.
Special attention is paid to high-touch, hard nonporous items including television remote controls, door and furniture handles, nightstands, telephones, in-room control panels, light switches, temperature control panels, alarm clocks, luggage racks and flooring. All hard surfaces will be sprayed with EPA-approved cleaning products, and left wet for a 10-minute “dwell” period which is the required time for full disinfection.
Guests will be asked for their preference regarding housekeeping services. When full housekeeping services are required by guest, housekeeper will enter room only once per day.
Housekeepers will wear masks and gloves at all times.
Housekeeping will continue its practice of cleaning thoroughly following check-out, including washing, rinsing and sanitizing all glasses and coffee cups.
Turndown service will not be offered until further notice.
EPA-approved cleaning products will be used inside tub, shower, sink, toilet and toilet bowl. Surfaces are left wet for a 10-minute “dwell” time in order to guarantee disinfection.
Special attention is paid to mirrors, glass, and bathroom high touch areas like counters, toilet flusher and seat, shower fixtures, shower head etc.
All surfaces are wiped clean with a fresh towel.
Pool and Courtyard
All furniture and hard surfaces in this area will be wiped regularly and after each guest departs with EPA-approved cleaning products. There is a 10-minute “dwell” time required between spraying the furniture or surface and wiping it clean to be fully effective.
Chaises and all courtyard furniture has been re-arranged to comply with CDC recommendations for Social Distancing. Guests are required to honor these protocols and remain distanced from other guests not in their party.
Attendance in the fitness center will be limited. Guests will have private and exclusive access and are requested to kindly make an appointment time with the concierge.
All gym equipment will be regularly sanitized and disinfected with EPA-approved cleaning products.
Spa on Fifth
The Spa will be available to our guests on a private and exclusive basis. Guests are kindly requested to make appointments with our concierge. Arrangements will be made with our technicians so that we can comply with all health and safety regulations.
All public areas such as the lobby, reception areas, elevators, meeting rooms, hallways, windows and doors will continue to be cleaned frequently (multiple times per day) by our housekeeping department.
Special attention is paid to all high-touch areas, including, but not limited to, elevators and elevator buttons, door handles, and seating areas.
Public bathrooms on the second floor will remain closed until further notice. Guests are required to use the bathroom in the guest rooms or the bathrooms located at the courtyard.
Food and Beverage – Main Building
Traditional room service is replaced with a no-contact delivery method. Room service staff will wear masks and gloves, and deliver all food and beverage in sealed containers to the guest rooms or the Courtyard. Food and beverage service is currently offered at the pool and courtyard from 11am until 8pm. Our concierge can assist you with options for food and beverage delivery after 8pm.
Food and Beverage – Club Level
The Club Level Lounge is open for guests to enjoy their food and beverage. Social Distancing is being observed and furniture is arranged accordingly. Breakfast and hors d’oeuvres will be individually plated and served either in the lounge or in the guest suites. Individually packaged snacks will remain available in the lounge. Please contact your concierge by dialing 770 for personal attention to your food and beverage preferences. The rooftop deck is open and available for guests at all times.
Concierge and Front Desk
Club Level guests will be escorted to the club building and checked in at the registration desk on the third floor. Guests checking in and checking out will be required to observe recommended distancing protocols just as staff will be. Guests of the main building will be checked in at registration in the lobby in the normal fashion. There will be frequent cleaning and disinfecting, with special attention to high-touch surfaces including front desk check-in counters, bell desks, and room keys and locks. All staff will be wearing masks and it is recommended that our guests wear masks in public areas.
Valet hours have been reduced until further notice. For now, Valet service will be available during the week from 9am until 7pm and on the weekends from 7am until 11pm. Please check with your concierge to confirm times that an attendant will be on duty at the valet stand. All valet will at all times be wearing gloves and a mask.
If you do not wish to have a member of our staff assist you with valet services including luggage please use our self parking on 4th Avenue directly behind the hotel.
If you wish to have assistance, please be aware that our valet will be equipped at all times with EPA-approved disinfectants that meet CDC requirements and are effective against viruses, bacteria and other airborne pathogens. All our staff have received safety and training based on CDC standards.
Elevator and Stairwells
Maintenance and Housekeeping Staff will be cleaning and disinfecting all hotel elevators and stairwells with products that are EPA registered and endorsed for effectiveness against enveloped viruses like coronavirus and COVID-19.
Guests are required to limit capacity in the elevator to two persons at a time. In the case of a family or group traveling and staying together a maximum of 6 people will be allowed.
Club Level guests will be welcomed and checked in at the Club Lounge on the third floor of the club level building. Food and beverage service protocol has been re-created to keep all our guests and staff safe. Individually packaged snacks will remain available in the lounge. Club Level guests will be provided with a breakfast menu at check in and their selections will be delivered by concierge either to their suite or to their table in the lounge. Evening amenities are being handled in a similar fashion. Please contact your concierge by dialing 770 for personal attention to your food and beverage preferences. The rooftop deck is open and available for guests at all times.
